How does SelectWiser work?

SelectWiser analyses CVs and cover letters with AI. You upload both documents per candidate, and within 2 minutes you get a full report containing:

• Technical score (60%): skills, experience and match with the role
• Contextual Match Analysis (CMA) score (40%): motivation, communication style and how the text fits the context of the role
• Overall score: a weighted average of the two
• Recommendation: invite or not (indicative)
• Interview questions: only above a score of 5.0

The recommendation is indicative and meant as support. You decide who you invite.

What is CMA and why does it matter?

CMA stands for Contextual Match Analysis. It is a textual and contextual analysis of the candidate's motivation, communication style and presentation in relation to the role and the job description. CMA makes no claims about personality or mental characteristics; it helps your organisation read textual signals better during the human assessment.

Which companies is SelectWiser suitable for?

SelectWiser is built for small and medium-sized companies where owners, managers or team leads do the hiring themselves and have little or no HR team of their own. Think of companies with 10-100 employees receiving 10-300 applications per vacancy. HR generalists who handle recruitment alongside their other work also use SelectWiser to save time.

How long does an analysis take?

A full analysis of a CV and cover letter takes 2 minutes on average. You immediately receive a report with scores, a recommendation and, above a score of 5.0, targeted interview questions.

Which file formats are supported?

We support PDF, Word (.doc/.docx) and images (.jpg/.png) up to 10MB per file. PDF is recommended for the best results.

How objective is the AI analysis?

The AI supports the assessment of candidates based on the job description and the documents supplied. Factors such as name, gender, age or photo play no part in the score. This makes the assessment more consistent than manual screening, where unconscious bias can play a role. The final decision always remains yours.

Yes. Your first vacancy is completely free, including every candidate who applies to it. That lets you try SelectWiser at no cost. After that you pay €99 per vacancy (excl. VAT). No credit card needed to start.

Each vacancy costs €99 (excl. VAT), with unlimited candidates. For every candidate you get a full analysis of both the CV and the cover letter, including a technical score, a Contextual Match Analysis (CMA) score, a recommendation and interview questions.

No, SelectWiser works pay-per-use. You only pay for the analyses you actually run. No monthly costs, no minimum volume, no commitments.

You only pay for the analyses you have run. At the start of each month we automatically collect the previous month's total by SEPA direct debit. You can stop at any time and only pay for what you have used.

No, there are no setup costs, no monthly costs and no hidden costs. You pay €99 per vacancy you analyse, and nothing else. Creating an account, managing vacancies and adding team members are all free.

Can I get an invoice?

Yes, you automatically receive an invoice by email after each monthly direct debit. All invoices can also be found in your account under 'Payments'.

That is exactly the advantage of pay-per-use. No vacancies in a given month? Then you pay nothing. One vacancy with two hundred candidates? Then you pay €99. You are never tied in.

How secure is candidate data?

All data is stored encrypted on servers within the EU. We are fully GDPR-compliant and never share data with third parties. Candidates give their own consent for data processing through the application form.

All candidate data stays securely stored in your account until you delete it. You have full control over your data and can export or delete it at any time in line with the GDPR.

Data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can delete candidates and vacancies at any time. When you delete your account, all data is permanently erased.

Yes, under the GDPR candidates have the right of access and erasure. If a candidate asks, you can export or delete their data from the dashboard.

Yes, webhooks let you connect an application form on your own website to SelectWiser. Candidates apply on your site, and the data arrives automatically in your SelectWiser dashboard. You get a unique webhook URL per vacancy.

What are the interview questions?

For candidates scoring above 5.0, SelectWiser generates 4-6 targeted interview questions. They are based on the analysis: they address weak points, unclear passages in the CV, or things you want to verify. Not standard questions, but tailored per candidate.

Can I invite candidates through SelectWiser?

Yes, you can send invitations for phone, in-person or online interviews straight from the dashboard. The email is generated automatically with the date, time and location or link. Candidates can accept or decline using buttons in the email.

Does SelectWiser email candidates automatically?

Yes, candidates automatically receive an acknowledgement after applying. Beyond that you can send invitations or rejections manually from the dashboard. All communication is recorded in the candidate history.

Can I adjust the weighting of technical vs. CMA?

Yes, per vacancy you can set how much weight the technical score and the CMA score carry in the overall score. The default is 60% technical and 40% CMA, but you can adapt it to the role.

What if a candidate has no cover letter?

Accepted Answer

Both a CV and a cover letter are required for a full analysis. The CMA score is based on the cover letter. Without one, the AI cannot perform a textual contextual analysis and you get an incomplete picture of the candidate.

Can I re-run an analysis?

Yes, you can re-run an analysis if, for instance, you have changed the job description. That is free of charge once the vacancy has been paid for; no extra costs are charged.

How many users can use one account?

You can add unlimited team members to your account at no extra cost. Everyone can manage vacancies and analyse candidates. You pay per vacancy, not per user.

Can I manage several vacancies at once?

Yes, you can create and manage unlimited vacancies. Each vacancy gets its own application link and webhook URL for integration.

Can team members have different permissions?

At the moment all team members have the same permissions: they can manage vacancies, add candidates and run analyses. Role-based access is on our roadmap.

How do I invite a team member?

Go to 'Settings' > 'Team' and enter the email address of the person you want to invite. They receive an email with a link to create an account and get immediate access to your company account.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account at any time from the settings. All data is then permanently deleted in line with the GDPR. Outstanding payments will still be collected.
